I have two MKVs here (DVDs from extended edition of LOTR). How can I merge the two to make one that will have full chapters? Once I get past the first MKV, the chapters are not added in to the second have of the merged mkv (from DVD 2). mkvmerge documentation says chapters are not merged though....any tips?

mkvextractGUI to extract both chapter files. Work out the running time of the first movie, add this to every chapter time in the second chapter file. Copy the contents of the second chapter file and paste it to the end of the first chapter file. Merge the movies, then use mkvmerge gui to add the new chapter file in place of the old one.
