    Hey guys!

I just got myself a shiny new Sony Bravia 40inch Full HD 1080p LCD TV! Now I have managed to link it up with my PS3 via HDMI, but I seem to have a little problem with linking my laptop (Acer Aspire 5920G) to the TV. When I connect the HDMI cable the display is shown in excellent quality! However I cannot seem to get any sound to play through the TV!

Any suggestions you guys could give me?

Thanks Baldrick I have read through that forum and made some progress, I downloaded the most recent update for the Realtek Audio and can now get sound through the HDMI cable, only problem is to get it I have to go into the control panel>sound menu, I have 3 devices, Speakers, Digital Output Device (SPDIF) and Digital Output Device (HDMI). I then have to right-click the HDMI option and set it as the default device, I can then start the film/video or iTunes etc, but then if I want to use the laptop speakers I have to set the speakers device as default, is there anyway this can be set up so that it automatically happens when the TV is connected?
