    When I'm encoding MKV to AVI using AVISynth and VirtualDubMod, how can I get the subs in the MKV to show up without extracting them first and then using 'textsub' in AVS?

    How does your avisynth script look like? If you use directshowsource and also has vsfilter and haali media splitter installed it should work, if you don't get any subs see sneaker_ger post here: http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-140216.html .

    And I'm moving you to our Subtitle section.

    I followed this:
    1.) Copy VSFilter (http://www.zshare.net/download/16759901141ff297/) to c:\windows\system32
    2.) start->execute "regsvr32 VSFilter.dll"
    3.) Start->programs->Haali Media Splitter->Haali Media Splitter Settings->Compatibility->"Autoload VSFilter"=yes
    4.) Enter "rundll32 vsfilter.dll,DirectVobSub" and make it sure that is says "Load when needed" in the general settings

    and it worked!

    Thank you!
