I use edit studio 6 and have been for a couple of years, I used DV recorded and DV output from a Sony Fx7 camera up until recently. I changed to recording in HD but capture in DV for ease of editing but now find with the same settings a get a jerky rendered video,Eyery couple of seconds during playback it jerks. Tried all different output setting to no avail. The only thing I can see on the captured files is the frame rate is now 29 instead of the usual 25 and frame sizes slightly diferent.Tried those frame rates on rendereding and no change. Now I'm really stuck with a job due out this weekend...anybody help on this??
I'm considering rendering the captured file prior to editing to see if this helps.

  2. Was the jerking evident on the capture? (before processing and rendering)?

Might be a field order issue

Give HDVSplit a try for capturing. If you record HD, you should capture the same format
