    Hello,

i am doing some research on dvd converters. Basically my goal is to be able to capture clips from my dvd collections. So i am looking for a software that converts a dvd to an editable file. Now I know that when i convert a dvd to a editable file, quality would decrease. What video format should I convert a dvd with minimal decrease on the quality? I have a corel x2 video editing software. I would appreciate very much your input.

No it won't. DVD is mpeg2 and there are plenty of mpeg2 editors that can edit without re-encoding....there
are some limits to that rule but...simple cuts are no problem.
