I have a ATI Wonder VE capture card.
When I hook a desktop DVD player to my card and watch certain movies I get weird colored horizontal lines thoughout the picture like every cenimeter down the screen. This happens with movies like Shrek, and Ranma 1/2 "anime".
It didn't happen on Rush Hour 2, or Those Who Hunt Elves "anime".
Some person said it was macrovision so I purchased a Sima video copier.
hooked it up same problem. No luck![]()
Please any help or advise welcome.
thanks.

On Shrek I would have agreed it could be Macrovision, but not on Ranma ½, I suggest you check the settings you are using for capturing, your ATI might be blocking it for some reason.
Also, why are you trying to capture the DVD ? can't you just rip it ? it will give you MUCH better quality! just get a DVD drive for your PC, and you'll save alot of agony, it only costs like 60$ for a Pioneer 16x drive!
Oh, and if you do rip Ranma, mind sharing ?)
