Well the topic says it all.

I have some Vinyl LP rips in 24-bit 96Khz 2-channel FLAC (i.e., lossless compressed WAV) audio files.

I'm thinking there must be a way to play this on a PS3 by making a DVD as a AVCHD or some such thing.

    Anyone know?

WOW ... it feels so weird you know ... I use to live here and I haven't paid this place much attention lately.

Some suggestions, although they are mostly just in case no one can answer your question. I don't have a PS3, so I can't answer it.

    1) DVD Audio supports 96 Khz 2 channel LPCM, so if the PS3 plays that, you just need some software to use to make a DVD Audio disc.
    2) Let's be honest here. A few years ago, the PS3 was a big deal because it could be made to play stuff that the (at the time) media players wouldn't touch, but the PS3 is now pretty "old school" and left behind by the current generation of media players. The Western Digital HDTV media player plays FLAC. Does it play 96 Khz FLAC? I don't know, but if you want to tell me where I could get a sample, I'd be glad to test it for you.

  3. Maybe multiavchd can, but I think it will convert your flac to LPCM

Thanks for the comments. Been busy with other stuff and now I'm having some weird HDD troubles with my main C: drive. So this is on the back burner for now.

I like what poisondeathray suggested but have yet to check out that option but it sounds like it may work for my needs.

I'll follow up here when I get a chance to try some things out.
