I just bought a Panasonic AG-W1 multi-system VCR. It appears to be working well in all respects except during playback of PAL tapes. It starts and the output quality is fine then it stops. It will restart ok. It can run for a few seconds or a few minutes but will then stop. Now the strange thing is it doesn't have a problem with NTSC tapes !(?).
I am going to clean it, but in the meantime, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate hearing them.
Also I don't have a manual and I am in the dark as far as it's capabilities, it has an edit mode and I have no idea as what it can or not do Thanks.

  2. This is a very nice unit, but most are getting old and fragile, if you intend to keep it , take it to a pro and get it serviced.
