  1. I've been racking my brain on this one. I used amcap.exe to record a video and the first weird part was that it didn't attach an extension. The second weird part is that I've tried countless programs (VirtualDub, Stoik, TMPGEnc) and they all have failed. Even when I change the extension to AVI they only output small files (<100kb) or say ERROR: check the source file

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    used WinFF since I'm on XP )))
