  1. Hi this is my first post and its regarding my first rip so go easy on me :D

I've been following "Sefy's classical newbie" guide which I must say has been 100% ecellent - cheers M8. I've just hit problems on the "import chapters" step on VCD easy. The main problem is I dont understand what chapters are. When converting the original rip I split the movie into 2, exactly 1 hour on the 1st part and the remainder on the other. Basically I dont understand how the chapters relate to this or why they are important in ripping. Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

  2. Thank you for compliments, they are very much appriciated!

Regarding your quesitions, first, Chapters is NOT a must, it's an option, for those who want to have Chapters in their movies.

If you don't want, you can skip both steps for Chapter-X-Tractor and VCDEasy regarding the chapters.

Secondly, if you do want it, the guide covers on how to set the chapters for a two part movie, notice the movie in the guide is also a two parter

  3. cheers for that info...

I noticed when playing the VCD back using I-ON VCD player that you could not fast forward the file (you could only move around using the chapters) am I right in thinking that you either have chapters OR the ability to FF/RW?

  4. I don't think that should be the case, but to test your theory, I used PowerDVD and I was able to use FF/RW on my VCD, and when I pressed the next it skipped to the next chapter, so I think it's upto the program more then the VCD itself.
