I'm trying to make complete backups (menus, etc.) of the "Man from UNCLE" series but when I use DVDFAB or CloneDVD the disk copies but will not play. Never had any other problems with any other backups.

Will not play on what? standalone dvd player? computer software player? both?
    Maybe just a bad burn?

Or you are playing them on a poor DVD player. Not all DVD players are the same. I have one that plays everything, and another that is temperamental, especially older players.

Every DVD that I have backed up has no problems only the MFU is having the issue. I can "rip" to the HD and play it with no issues but only when I try to burn to disc there's a problem. I can back-up other DVDs right after with no issues.

By any chance are you doing a step that you are not telling us about, such as shrinking the rips from DVD-9 to DVD-5 size before burning?

What brand of media are you using? Have you ever used this EXACT brand before? Are you using DVD-9 discs, maybe for the first time? Have you ever been able to play DVD-9 discs that you burned yourself in that DVD player? Is there anything in your process that is different than what you've done before?

Man From U.N.C.L.E. is on Warner Brothers and if I remember correctly they do not use ARCCOS to protect their discs, so I'm leaning towards the problem not being with the discs themselves but something in your process such as bad media, burner failure (yes, "correct" burns can sometimes have problems immediately after being burned) or a fussy DVD player.
