Where do you get video of old MLB games from the late 60's and 70's?

Ok I am interested in searching for videos from MLB games from the late 60's and 70's. I have a few games in mind (mostly for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers). I'd prefer to keep my reasons personal.

I have sent emails to MLB.com and detroittigers.com but both say they are not allowed to release footage of any games.

The mlb.tv website only goes back to something like 2006. I have searched the net but haven't found much.

Are there tape trading sites like the ones for mst3k for archived baseball games? If so I haven't really found them or am not using the right search criteria.

A family member will be putting in a call or letter to the Tigers directly instead of a email to see if we could be directed to a proper department that would help.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Also - quality really doesn't matter. I'd like it to be viewable but it doesn't have to be a pristine dvd quality transfer - grainy vhs captures would do.

Being that old, you'd be hard pressed to find home recordings of it -- such a process was rare, mostly unheard of, and expensive.

This might be something where you'd need to convince MLB that it's worth releasing.

@lordsmurf - thanks. Yeah wasn't that first sony monster recorder in the 70s somewhere before the whole vhs/beta? I can't remember the name but the thing was a tank - much more so than any beta machine. I saw it on one of those "tech" series episodes on the History Channel.
