I have a Pioneer DVR-RT601H DVD HDD recorder, it's served us well for the last 2 years or more but the lack of HDD space is becoming a problem. Now I opened her up to see what type of drive it takes, Maxtor quick view 3.5 inch IDE was what I found. I don't have a spare IDE HDD otherwise I would have connected it to see if we can do a straight swap, is this possible? If not what software would I need? Has anyone exchanged their HDD on this or a similar player?
