    iv just decided to put easyvcd back on my pc after quite a while (and i think i put it on a newer pc than before) the program loads on to the pc ok but when i put a dvd in the drive and start easyvcd i get a message saying something like ' cannot read dvd check to see if an ASPI layer is installed' now i have windows xp with nero installed i now this programe needs an Aspi to work (i think) when i do get to the easyvcd interface a click rip i sometimes get a message saying runtime error '5': invalid procedure call or argument. any ideas thanks

    Are you converting directly from commercial dvds? If so you might have use anydvd in the background or rip with dvdfab decrypter first.

    Or maybe just try something similar like DVDx or DVD2SVCD.

    i have tried commercial dvds the thing is when i tried easyvcd before (years ago) it worked fine with commercial dvds so i think easyvcd can remove the co*y protect*on.

    Copy protection has changed a lot since "years ago" and I have no idea if eazyvcd has kept up with it or not. There are now methods like ARCCOS that use bad sectors to defeat rippers and rippers have to be constantly updated to keep up.
