I'm trying to get some FLAC files (with a .flac extension) to play in MPC using ffdshow to decode - the file is not rendering. I got it to work at first by installing ogg codecs, but I'm wondering if there's some internal option in MPC that I can enable so it can filter the file and let ffdshow do it's thing. I'm trying to find out because I slipped the stream into an MKV/MKA container and noticed ffdshow seemed to be doing the work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

"Pure" .FLAC files require an appropriate source filter.
You should give a try to CoreFLAC and madFLAC. -
Fair enough... This is my first experience with FLAC, so this was more of an "academic" exercise. Thanks for the feedback.
