    Hello,

I have used ffmpeg (Mac) to convert a MKV video to AVI, but the video is very slow (not fluid). It has to be 24 pictures/sec, actually it is 12 pictures/sec, maybe less.

    The audio is OK.

Where is the problem? What did I forget before launching the conversion?

    Thank you for your help.

    ffmpegx or ffmpeg?

I would try handbrake or avidemux.

Try MKVtools or its predecessor MoKgVm2DVD, which are built specifically to do MKV to AVI.
