I have a Divx with an subtitle file that I want to burn to SVCD or XVCD. I have the newest versions of VirtualDub, TMPGenc and CCE 2.64 and 2.5. Basically neither TMPGenc or CCE (2.64 OR 2.5) will load the .vdr file from vdub. Neither program recognizes the .vdr file as a valid one. Neither program freezes or anything, they just give an error and don't load the program.
I have tried saving the .vd file as "x.vdr.avi" and as x.avi.vdr" - no go. Though CCE 2.5 does not give me an error, the file just does not appear in the box. Am I not waiting long enough for it to appear?
I have followed the guides found on this site.
I want to use CCE, but it seems like I cannot without frameserving.
I want to add subititles to my XVCD, but it seems I cannot without frameserving.
Any suggestions, workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
THanks in advance.

First, you need DVD2AVI to create a playlist that will look like .d2v, then you need to run that playlist through a conversion program named VFAPIConv-1.04-EN, which has a reader that convert the .d2v playlist to a .d2v.avi playlist that will work in cce 2.50.

Hdog - thanks. Is this is one of the guides here? I can't find a "playlist" option on DVD2AVI. What does doing the operation you are talking about do? How would that help me frameserve from VirtualDub? THanks

I found a way to make it work with CCE.
1- DVD2AVI
2- VFAPIConv
3- VirtualDub (open the .avi from VFAPIConv and the .wav from dvd2avi)
4- frameserve from VirtualDub
5- Open CCE load the frameserve and dont do the audio
6- toolame your .wav in mp2
7- multiplex your mp2 and your .mpv (from cce) into a .mpg -
You have to first load the vob file in DVD2AVI by going to file open then selecting your vob files. The all you have to do is go back to file and click save project and you will get a file named something .d2v and that is how you get the playlist.
