  1. Hello,

First post here, I tried looking for similar topics but dint’ find anything else. I have an AVCHD file that has the M2TS stream file in it, along with some other files (it looks like the folders CERTIFICATE and BDMV are there)

The movie is 91 minutes long, but when I converted it using Xvid4PSP, the last several minutes are chopped off. The trial of TMPGEnc did the same.

In several tools (tsMuxer, MKVtoolnix, et cetera), the length of the movie reported is 66 minutes. Another tool (Smart Cutter ps/TS) shows that it is only 51 minutes long. All tools show the proper frame rate of 23.976.

So… why can’t I see the whole movie? Oh yes, playback also stops at 66 minutes. Am I missing some files?

  2. As a follow up, I used TS-doctor to view the file, and it said "invalid PmT"... but couldn't fix it. Any ideas?

  3. You probably have a glitch at that 66min mark, or it's corrupted, causing media players and encoders to abort

You can try cutting it out (e.g. tsmuxer) or skipping around it (e.g. can you seek to a point , say 70min mark to play in a media player)

How do you know it's 91minutes?
