The Mac with iMove converts AVCHD to 960x 540 for editing.
Alternate 1 is to convert to AIC 1440x1080i or 1920x1080i for editing in FCE or FCP.
Alternate 2 is upconversion using ProRes422 for FCE or FCP.
Alternate 3 is to abandon the Apple way and buy Premiere Pro or AVID.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

if it were only that easy. too much tied up in computers and software.

doing the pro res conversion still ain't working. it doesn't like the files via "log and transfer"
