This is a great player, every divx file I have tried works great!(except hd avi's) The only issue I have is that when i burn a bunch of tv episodes the files are all out of order. I have even used just numbers and they still do not have an sort of order. Basicly I would like to know if any one knows what kind of naming convention lg uses with there divx player.

    Thanks in advance

You're seeing this with an external FAT32 USB drive connected to the player, right? Usually, it's the player defaulting to seeing the files in the order they were written to the drive. There's usually no way around this, if the player behaves like that, unless you use a utility like FolderSort or DriveSort to sort the files on the drive before plugging it into the player.

Also note that most standalone DVD players that play DivX/Xvid files are limited to the maximum resolution for DVDs, at best... about 720x576, I think.

Edit: Okay, you did say 'burn,' so maybe it is happening on a disc. Does it truly support long filenames, or does it just truncate them after 40 or less characters? You might try creating a disc where the filenames are all 8:3 (eight-character filenames + .(extension)) and see if the player sorts that properly.

Yeah I am only using burned dvd disks, there is no option for using anything else on this player. I will try the small file names next and see what happens. Thanx
