I just started to back up all my dvd's onto my computer into xvid format. My question is how can I add the title information into the avi file itself. When I go into Windows Media Player or any other kind of media player it comes up as unknown title/unknown artist. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this? Thanks

If i used abcAVI Tag Editor would the tag carry over to another computer or to a media streamer? Or would it be necessary to install the program on another computer?

The data will be in the AVI file and most players can read and will display it.
So NO, you don't need to have the program installed on another computer.
