You don't need to use Toast if you want to copy AVIs to a USB drive. Just copy the files to the USB drive normally, in Finder.

Are you trying to place AVIs on the USB/jump drive so that you can, say, watch it on a DivX/Xvid-compatible DVD player, or another computer?

In Toast, instead of using the Burn button, you could do menu File > Save as Disk Image to your hard drive. The disk image file would hold the same information as a DVD-Video disc. This disc image can be mounted as a volume, sort of like a virtual disk. Then you could copy the files (VIDEO_TS folder) from the disk image to the portable drive.

BattyRoy: Do you actually want a DVD-Video disc structure on the jumpdrive, or are you just looking to convert the videos and store those directly to the drive?
