    I cannot properly rip chapters from my mkv files, i always get an error on the text format and I cannot remerge them into a new file, this is even though I have mkvtoolnix. Please help.

    Did you try mkvextract?

    For chapters to be compatible they have to be OGM style or XML style

    There is more help if you browse the instructions / documentation that comes with it
