I am trying to back-up Fast & Furious with DVDRebuilder/HC Encoder but the file output is 5.03 gb that won't fit on a DVD-5 disc. This is the first time this has happened, I had just successfully backed-up Che and didn't change any settings. Any ideas what the problem is?

  2. Does it have angles? How did you decrypt it to the hard drive?

No angles, movie only. HC best quality. Usually it goes straight to Imgburn to burn.

Using DVDRebuilder Free or Pro? What version? Have you adjusted the hidden size output settings in the rebuilder.ini file? I have noticed that when using "Enable Bitrate Redistribution", in combination with adjusted output size, DVD-RB Pro's output is less predictable. If "Enable Bitrate Redistribution" is disabled, you'll achieve more consistent results. I'm only stating my findings thru trial and error, from playing around with many different settings. Others' may have different experiences altogether.

Using Pro v 1.28.2, should be the latest. I don't know to adjust the hidden file size, though I have Enabled Bitrate Redistribution.

If I remember correctly, movie only encodes, with an unmodified .ini file and w/o Bitrate Redistribution will give roughly 4420MB - 4435MB output size. Once again, this is strictly from my experience. Oh, if you want to see examples of hidden settings, go to the Help menu and select Contents. Or try Googling it.

Doesn't enabling the bitrate distribution call for a higher bitrate on dark or actions scenes? Isn't this desirable? Checked the online Help, but I can't find any .ini file in the RB program folder. Where the hell are those hidden files, they're hidden a little too well.

Go to the installation directory, and you'll see the rebuilder.ini file. You can open it with notepad. I believe you're right about "Enable Bitrate Redistribution" and how it distributes more or less bits, depending on scenes.
