WMP11 wont play some MKV files-problem (choppy audio output only)

hi
i have some mkv files which WMP11 wont play correctly
i have tried all codecs to setup with wmp11 like ffdshow,coreavc to be played but seems to be playng all mkv files i have ok just few are not loaded correctly and only choppy audio output i can hear.
vlc is playing ok these files just WMP11 wont.

can someone point me direction where can be a problem.

Have you tried with ac3filter also? be sure to disable ffdshow audio decoding also.

And use haali media splitter as mkv splitter.

i tried enable and disable mp3 audio codec in ffdshow, still the same
i can hear just choppy audio without video in wmp11.
wmp11 says as mpeg layer 3 as audio codec and video codec is not loaded at all...
strange because most of my mkv play OK

haali is also installed
any other ideas where can be problem?

Try opening your MKV file with mplayer2.exe (it should be in the WMP folder). While playing the file select File -> Properties -> Advanced. That will show you the list of filters being used.

mplayer2.exe plays it OK

info from properties:
coreavc video decoder
default direct device
mpeg layer 3 decoder
video renderer

strange why wmp11 wont play file and mplayer2 old player plays OK
any ideas what bothers wmp11 from playing?
