hi this is my first time posting here at these fine forums. im going to get right to it.
i have planet earth in 720p, and i use tsMuxer to remux them to m2ts at 4.1 audio channel to be compatible with ps3. i store them in the ps3, the video is superb.
the problems come when i try remuxing another planet earth video, thats in 1080p, in tsMuxer and do the same process, i then store it in my ps3 but when i try playing it, i am put up with a black screen and only audio. what did i do wrong? it works for 720 video but not 1080? is it the video size? it plays just fine on my pc...
UPDATE: I made it into a avchd and put it on my flash drive, but i had the same results, black screen with audio. so then, using YAMB, i made it into an mp4 avc. but when i tried playing it, it said its not supported.
Thanks for all the help, i put the following info below for the 1080p vid thats in m2ts format.

it's the number of reference frames.
the max number of reference frames of Blu-ray 1080p is 4 but your file has 16 ref frames. -

UPDATE: so i took your advice yonta, i extracted the video with mkvextract and took the video, using h264info and changed its reference fames to 4 just as you said. then i used tsMuxer and created an m2ts file. It still didnt work, i am put up with a black screen and audio. here is the following properties:

FINAL UPDATE: Success! tried one last time, only this time i used mkv2vob and added the mkv file and it muxed it into m2ts. works beautifully now, the only trick is to transfer it to the ps3 since its more than 4 gig i cant copy it to a flash or hard drive, i am sending it over wiFi via media sharing. it takes a while though.
I have a question. look below and you will notice that it's profile is main@high while the other videos i muxed were high@4.1 profile. was that the problem? and also i didnt notice a reference frame down there. are there none?

apparently you didn't remux but encoded the whole thing to MPEG2 and repacked it as a transport stream. Long story short, the video is no longer AVC, hence the "reference frame number" don't apply (it's an AVC thing you know...).
In any case, if you want to use AVC, there's no magic trick to "change the reference frames" as if nothing happened, you're going to have to re-encode the whole thingSorry, I had to go see about a girl
