  1. Hello,
I am experimenting with xvid4psp. The rendered video plays back fine on my computer. When I upload it to YouTube, it goes out of sync. I've always used TMPGEnc because it just works. It may not be the absolute best, but I get decent quality from it and it's good enough for YouTube.

Any idea what could be going on?

There's a delay in the start of the audio and then it is played back at a faster speed. It IS playing back properly on my computer. Thanks for any help!

  3. Yep. The first link is fine. .mp4 at 4000kbs mp3 at 192. Here's the file if anybody wants to help. I notice a slight increase in quality using xvid4psp so I wouldn't mind figuring this out. Thanks for the reply, zoobie.

  4. i'd try using aac audio instead of mp3. you might also want to try mediacoder and handbrake, they both give good results.

  5. Thanks for your reply. I posted a reply from home but I guess I didn't hit 'post reply'. I can't access YT from work but I uploaded a new test using AAC. The audio now plays at the correct speed but the video is half speed. I don't want to give up because I'm noticing an increase in video quality.

If you want to see the clip, it is the most recent upload. Thanks for always taking the time to help me out, I really appreciate it. I'll also give those other programs a whirl.

  11. i did a conversion to mp4 with aac audio. it was in sync when it left here, so we'll see. it's uploading to youtube now to test the sync. once the vid finishing processing i'll post the link and after you check it out i'll delete it.

  13. I think it looks amazing AND it fills the whole screen like I could never do!

Can you please post what you used, workflow and settings? I've got some work to do. Thank you!

  14. it's not hard. i used vegas pro 9 but you can do the same thing with mediacoder. the important parts are to set the size to 1280x720 progressive and the bitrate over 5000kbps, i used 6000kbps for that one. it's h264 with aac audo in an mp4 wrapper. that way youtube will create the HD version that you have been missing. the filesize will only be about half of the source mpg, but youtube allows up to 2 gigabytes so don't worry about it. it takes about an hour for the HD version to become available after the upload is complete.

  15. one last thought for the night, while i was playing with your video i noticed the audio is clipping almost half the time. you should most likely turn down the guitar input level a bit.

  16. Yeah, I push the levels for sure. I've been sitting here since you posted getting error after error with mediacoder. I am about ready to kill something.

I sincerely want to thank you for spending time trying to help me, for that I feel guilty. I am done. TMPGEnc is meant for no-brain knuckleheads like me. People like me will keep them in business for generations.

Edited to add: I may have half a brain after all. Thanks so much!
