I have been working on this project for days with no luck, please help. I have a .mov file created with a Kodak ZI6 camcorder (HD60). I used TsMuxer to convert it to an AVCHD format that can be played on my Panasonic BD30. I then used ImgBurn to create the DVD. It has not been successful. TsMuxer creates the BDMV folder and the Certificate folder. When I put the disk into the BlueRay player it says reading, then nothing happens. I tried creating Blue Ray disk with TsMuxer but the display "Disk Incompatible". I'm using DVD-R disk. I've tried copying just the BDMV folder, all folders, etc. - no luck. In image burn i use the "Copy Folders/Files to disk" , I assume this is correct. What am I doing wrong, settings in TsMuxer, settings in ImgBurn, folders to transfer to the DVD.

By the way, my brother gave me a AVCHD DVD he created from his Sony camcorder and it worked in my BD30. I looked at the file structure on the DVD and all it had was the BDMV folder along with 2 files (Index and Movieobject). I tried creating a DVD with this exact structure and it did not work.

Sorry for the long post, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

When burning blu-ray/avchd to dvd with imgburn it has to be set at file system udf and udf revision at 2.50/2.60,did imgburn give you a warning about burning to blu-ray and ask you to set it for you? Also multiavchd as Baldrick mentioned has a special setting for panasonic blu-ray players.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  4. If your MOV files are not MPEG2+PCM multiAVCHD probably won't process them. You need to rename them to MP4 and then import in multiAVCHD. Select "AVCHD for optical media (DVD)" and process the compilation - it should work in your Panasonic. If you have a SD/SDHC card - you can make things easier and test without burning discs.

late edit: I did a lot of changes today in multiAVCHD, so try to update and try your MOV files directly. (use multiUPDATE.exe to get the latest update)

Thanks for the help, but no luck yet. If I use the .Mov extension, mavchd hangs up at the "Verifying Title" in the log. If I burn what was created with this, I get a "incompatible disk" from the bd30. If I change the extension to .MP4, it completes the task. But when I burn the AVCHD folder to a DVD-R disk the bd30 just shows a blank screen. The log also shows that it does not recognize the audio track (AAC LC).
I am using UDF 2.5 in image burn. Any more thoghts? I am using mavchd ver. 03000666.

  6. AAC is not compatible with AVCHD standard, convert to AC3

Instead of renaming extension to .mp4, Try avidemux, direct stream copy the video, and convert audio to AC3, format to .mp4, then try multiavchd again

  7. Because the link here (videohelp) is not updated I'd suggest you to download the full version of multiAVCHD again (http://multiAVCHD.deanbg.com/download/)

It includes faad2 for more accurate AAC processing. Give it a try and please post your log file (info). multiAVCHD tries to reencode all non-compliant audio types before adding to the compilation.

If you can - test your compilation with a software player, too. I believe you're using the "AVCHD for optical media" button after "START".

Were getting closer. I D/L the latest version on MAVCHD. I converted my video with a top menu. When I play the dvd in my bd30 I get the top menu screen then the screen showing the title of my video with a ">" in front of the name. When I hit play it looks like its going to play then nothing, like the video was blank. I did not get the audio error this time, it seems to have encoded it. The video I'm using is only about 2.5 min long. I did this to save time in writing disk. The stream folder is about 220000KB, so the video is there. I am using 'AVCHD for optical media'. I attached the log for your use. I do not know how to play the compilation from a software player. Thanks again for all your help.

  9. Log seems okay and all is processed and set properly.

If you can find time, please upload a small sample of your mp4 file (or the already processed m2ts).

Software players you can use are Nero Showtime or Arcsoft TMT - just dragging the BDMV folder to the app window does the job.

Again, thanks for the help. I tried burning from the AVCHD folder down and also from the BDMV folder down and both disk did the same thing, welcome screen appears then the title screen but then no video. I am attaching a small video file (.mov h.264) for your use.
Is it possible I have one of the many settings incorrect for my bd30?

  11. I can't download the .mov file. Link is not correct.

Post your log or try to rename your mov to mp4 and reprocess it.

Please READ what is in the LOG TAB. It says you need to burn the contents of the output folder, ie you need BDMV folder to be in the root of the burnt DVD-R.

Sorry the file did not work, it was only 10 seconds long. I have another question. Why are there separate selections for "AVCHD for solid media - Panasonic BR" and "AVCHD for optical media"? Are the formats different for each? Should I try the solid setting for an optical disk since my blue ray player is a Panasonic bd30? If I try to use an SD card should I use the solid setting?

  14. If you're using SDHC/SD card, then you have to use the avchd for solid media. For DVD/BD disc you need "for optical media".

I have tried all different combinations of .mov, .mp4, converting the .mov to mp4, etc. with no luck. I am going crazy with this. Is it possible for you to give me your email address and I could send you a small .mov file from my camera and see if you can process it?

  16. My email address is in the ABOUT tab of multiAVCHD.

  17. I emailed you back with the solution.

    1) Rename your .MOV to .MP4
    2) Untick "[-] Insert enhancement information" checkbox in Muxer tab in multiAVCHD
