Hi,
I am sure that this gets asked quite a bit so I will try and provide as much information. I am trying to convert a .mov file to iphone H264 format. It seems to convert the file ok but when its finished there are two files created. A .mp4 and a .wav file. For a start off I thought there should only be 1 file created! Why is this so? Also the .wav file is 0 Bytes in size!
I have pressed the info button and I copied it below. Hope someone can help?

ffmpegX does the conversion in steps: first the video, then the audio, then combining the two. If the audio conversion would fail, then you would end up with an output video file and a non-functional/broken audio file.Originally Posted by paul_b

Please tell us a bit more about the audio format in the source file. Try MediaInfo Mac if other information tools fail.

I've tried to create a file with the same specifications (.H264 video Main L3.1 880x660 @ 8.632 fps, AAC audio 48kHz, in a .MOV container) and convert it with the iPhone preset in ffmpegX. It converted fine, with audio. So, I'm stumped as to why it won't work on your side.

Is it possible for you to upload your source file somewhere so I can have a try at your file?
