I found this Region code for this player in a site called Aussie Phorums.
I have NOT tried this yet so the usual caveat applies, if your NOT sure, DONT try it.
This player has been on the market for at least 3 yrs which surprises me it hasnt had the Region Code reported before.

Open Tray
enter 0, 5, 2, 0---------------------note ZERO, not an 'O'
press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT
Press 0 to select multi region code ( I think it means 0 is Region Free)
close tray.

Now, one reported this worked first go, another said it took several attemps before it locked in so Good Luck.
In the hack list is an AWA W 990, I have no idea if this would work on that number or not.
