I saw this topic on the PC side, but the software was only for PC. My friend has several home movie DVDs that he'd like to combine parts of onto one DVD.

I copied the contents of the first DVD to my hard drive and brought it into MPEGstreamclip. I know that I can export as DV and then run through Compressor and into DVDSP to reauthor, but they've already been compressed and recompressed so many times. Is there any way to get an M2V out of MpegStreamclip? Or a better way to do this altogether?

Yes, simply save as, and it will save the elementary streams of your content.
You can then drag and drop those files into Toast, and toast
will remux to a new DVD.

Or since you have DVDSP, simply save as from MpegStreamclip
as the elementary streams ( .mv1 and .ac3 audio for example)
and then import those into DVDSP, place on the timeline,
and then build the resulting VIDEO_TS folder to your HD.

Thanks so much. I wasn't able to figure out how to bring the .vob file (the elementary stream) into DVDSP. But, I did figure out how to demux to .m2v and .ac3 which worked great. Thanks again and I appreciate the quick response.
