Adding subtitle to xvid without increasing file size of the .avi?

Hello,

I wonder how i can add a subtitle without significantly increasing the file size of the avi file? As when i try with TMPGenc the output size increases 300mb, from 700 to 1000mb.

Do you mean hardcode? (burn in the subs?)

Filesize = bitrate x running time

So use the same bitrate and the filesize will be the same
