Blu-ray (1080p) menu template .PSD? Anyone got one?

24 hours before a project has to be finished is a bad time to figure out that Blu-ray menus demand more hoop jumping than DVD menus.

I'll keep it simple. What I'd love to get my hands on is a basic 1080p menu template .PSD which has some generic 1920x1080 static background which I can replace with my own 1920x1080 .PNG, and a couple of text buttons which I can finetune with different text or positioning. Then I could take this freshly modified template and import it into Encore CS4, once I have that in front of me.

The primary complication seems to be the need to have active/off/etc. layers for the button text graphics, and specific names for these layers. Compound that with my almost complete lack of understanding of how to use Photoshop, and it becomes easy to appreciate why I figure somebody's simple template would be an immense help.

Nah. ;p Home video project for the family. Trouble is I don't have Encore in front of me, and won't get it back until pretty much the moment I have to build the disc and burn it off. What I do have is about 12 hours to find a (very) simple Blu-ray menu template with a 1080p background image and two text buttons with layers intact.

It baffles me that nobody seems to have one, or knows where to download one.

Well, I'll get you started...

It's only the background layer and CenterCrossHair, ActionSafe, and TitleSafe guides, but you should put a little of your own "flavor" into it anyway, so you'll have lots of options.

You do have Photoshop, don't you? (since you mentioned it)
Just open addition pix that you like and drag their layers from their image to this base template, then do [Edit | Transform] to size that layer. Do it for each of your images (buttons, etc), copy+paste as needed, and adjusting the layer order by dragging their layer icons vertically up or down in the stack. That'll get you 3/4 of the way there. Make sure you save a fully layered copy before finishing with a copy that has most (if not all) of it's layers merged to accommodate the requirements of your authoring/menuing app.
