Just got a copy of Windows 7 7600 onto a dvd. How does one make the dvd bootable so as to load into a new computer?

  2. Download the Release Candidate through Microsoft's website. The version you are talking about is not meant for the general public.

If you run it thru Nero you just tell it to make a bootable disc

but it should already be a bootable disc image and just burn it w/ imgburn

  5. You are also asking for help with something that is pirated and is warez.

Sorry about misleading anybody. The windows 7 is not 7600 it is 7260 and not a good one. I am looking for a newer build to put in a new computer.

  7. Either use the Release Candidate or buy it when it comes out, instead of asking for help with a build that is not meant for the public.

There is a free install from Microsoft good for a year.

    What is your problem?

Don't have a problem now. Dv8ted2 convinced me that I was headed in the wrong direction. The reason that the 7260 build was not bootable was one missing file and one bad file, so I chunked it.
Incidently I just made a browser search on the 7600 and there are dozens of articles and downloads for it.
I will now go see what Microsoft has to offer. Thank you for your interest in this matter.
