I will comment as much as I like on any damn thing I want to.

You are free to do the same.

  2. and you will be wrong as you were earlier...I have brought facts to the table and all you could come up with was some nonsense about punch cards. My point about the butcher and the doctor is that you would talk to subject matter experts, not people that do not deal with the stuff on a massive scale on a daily basis.

I do not have a problem with you. I now walk away from this thread.

You seem to want respect simply by demanding it.
And similarly demanding that others not even comment.

It's just that my brain is part of the loop, I don't entrust it all to some bloated anti-virus suite.
I turn off services I don't need. I don't install anything from an untrusted source.
I don't use IE or Outlook.

In 15 years or so I've been online, zero infections.

Nevertheless, I never advocated anyone else to do it my way. I was just mentioning my own experience.

stiltman, I've gotten some older apps to run in Win2k, but even those that will run in Win2k run better in Win98se. For that reason I plan to keep Win98se but replace Win2k with WinXP since Win2k security updates will be stopped in a few months.

I too use Mozilla Seamonkey browser for most things, but unfortunately some sites and apps require IE to work. For some of us who use such apps or sites not using IE at all is not an option.
