Guides Section from the menu on every page of this site.
    https://www.videohelp.com/guides

    Tools section (same location)
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/dvd-to-avi-divx-xvid

    https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/dvd-to-mp4-avc-h264

HandBrake together with DVD43. Note that DVD43 might not work with all dvds so you then have to use AnyDVD or DVDfab decrypter to rip.

3 years, 300's post and not a sticky in DVD to AVI forum for us noobs? I did search, and it seems that everybody refer to using DVDShrink 3.2 and AutoGordianNot 2.55. I used DVDShrink before and its great to make backup copies of DVD. But is there a step-by-step instruction how to use these programs or any other to create a simple AVI file? Do I need to extract audio and video separately? Does it has to be imported into AutoGN?!? Without a doubt, this forum is the ONE and ONLY source for any kind of video help; nothing else like this exists on the net. But at the same time, it has so much info for us noobs to get lost in it. So, I would really appreciate a simple step-by-step how to go about taking existing DVD and making AVI out of it? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!
