It captures to project size. What are your project settings? What is the source size?Originally Posted by Illusionist
I have tried to figure out a problem I'm having, hope someone can help. When I upload a movie to Vegas, and take a snapshot the image is alway's a different size then the actual movie, even though I have set to full (best). I have gone into preferences, etc....
How do I capture an image, the same size as actual video resolution ??
Thanks

setting the preview to best - full works ok here to capture the size listed under the display.... what are you pasting the clipboard image into?
Both are 1280 x 720. Project setting 1:1/16:9,. Saving image to desktop, it worked before, let me experiment with project settings some more.
interesting - i always capture to the clipboard and paste into a picture program and it give the exact pixels listed in the preview. saving it as a file gave me the output size in square pixels instead of the project size. it was HDV 1440x1080 in the clipboard and 1920x1080 as a file.
I'm back at my Vegas 8c machine now
It seems to follow preview window size to some extent
Case 1: 1280x720 file 1280x720 project 1280x720 preview window (square pixel)
"Save Snapshot to File" result = 1280x720
"Copy Snapshot to Clipboard" result = 1290x720
Case 2: 1280x720 file 1280x720 project 640x360 preview window
"Save Snapshot to File" result = 640x360
"Copy Snapshot to Clipboard" result = 640x360
I'll try to repeat for a 1440x1080 project later.
