    hi everybody

i have a problem with my records in ts from hdtv. ( http://ul.to/0ztkl5 )

when i see this ts on my dreambox 800, or in my dvico 6500 or in my pc (only with powerdvd), i can see without problem, but if i see this ts with vlc, or i try to encoding it in avi(xvid) or mkv(xvid or x264) i have a bad video.

bad video means, more and more glitches, and i don't know why. also because with powerdvd for example there aren't this glitches.

for me is important covert ts in x264 to a problem space.

i hope that anyone can help me.

    thanks in advance.

  2. It's h.264, two AC3 tracks (English and Italian), and maybe subtitles(?) in an MPEG TS container. You need a ts file reader/splitter and h.264 and AC3 decoders to view it.

VLC 1.0.0 plays it fine here. Also MPCHC, KMPlayer, WMP 11, WMP 6.4. I'm using Haali Media Splitter, CoreAVC, Arcsoft's AC3 decoder for DirectShow playback. I was able to open and examine the file with h264ts_cutter, tsMuxerGUI, TsReaderLite, etc.

  4. Try TsMuxerGUI to demux the streams. Then MkvMerge to mux them into an MVK container.

  10. Try a different h.264 decoder.

Decoded with AviSynth's DirectShowSource() and CoreAVC, encoded with VirtualDub and Xvid:

    xvid.avi
