Hello,
This is my first venture in burning a dvd. I have 18 episodes of a series and I want to put 2 or 3 episodes of 22 minutes long (.avi file) with subtitles (.srt file) that can be turned on and off on in a standard DVD player.
So, I used ffmpegx; no problems with the encoding and no problems when I playback the video with the subtitles within the ffmpegx program. However, when I check to see if the video_ts folder will play in the Apple DVD Player, doesn't work. VLC, doesn't work. Quicktime, doesn't work.
All I see is a white screen with no sound. The subtitles do work and can be turned on and off; very strange.
What's happening?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Thanks for replying!
I followed the exact directions from the website of ffmpegx. The source format is avi. The target format is DVD mpeg2enc. Then I go the filters tab and load my srt file. Then I preview it in the ffmpegx format, all is good.
I don't know what a conversion log is. How do I look for that in order to provide that for you?
Thanks again!
