    Hello,

I have recorded some video from a game with the latest version of Fraps. I decided to use SUPER to convert this video so the video still is high quality in the end but doesn't need too much hdd space (--> upload).

I tried to use the recommended YouTube settings (Audio: AAC, Video: H264) and set the video bitrate to 2064 and the audio bitrate to 192 but it looks really bad after the conversion process.
I'm pretty noobish with stuff like this and would like to learn, so I'm happy if anyone could give me some tips (which codec & settings to use, etc.) or send me some noob guide so I can learn all about compressing videos and keeping their quality at the same time (didn't find a general guide like this on the site).
The source video has a resolution of 840 x 524 pixels, container is avi. Thanks for your help in advance.

2Mbit h264 video should look very good.

What do yoyu mean"Really bad"? Pixelated? or HOW?
    What resolution are you using?

You can also try use handbrake or xvid4psp and also convert to h264 video and aac in a mp4. Use constant quality encoding settings or set the bitrate or file size manually.

Didn't change that. It ended up pretty much pixelated and with a much worse sound quality.

Tried handbrake (first 0.9.3 and then the latest snapshot). I just get a 3 megs big video file, it doesn't change if I pick another container.

Here is the log. The conversion doesn't even start:
