I recently captured footage with the Sony HDR- SR10 camcorder (40 GB HDD, shoots in 1080i). I used "Log and Transfer" to import the files (.mts) into final cut studio. It worked fine and I was able to view the clips. But when trying to edit the footage, for example speeding up a clip about 1500%, my computers hard drive cannot handle the playback. So I was wondering what would be the best file format to convert to than would retain the highest quality but allow my computer to handle the editing. I have a copy of Toast Titanium 10 for converting. Thanks!
