I am going to a summer cottage for the long fourth of July weekend and I want to record mid-day Yankees games for watching later in the evening.
The cottage has DirecTV service but no DVR.
Would it work to take my DirecTV DVR from my home to use out there for a few days?
Thanks.
Robert

There are no known issues that I'm aware of. As long as the account is active, obviously.

Though, I must say, not a very good use of a DVR...
Have a good one,

It will also depend on the dish at the cottage, a older dish may not see the HD satellites. The switch may have to be redetected after each move and so on.
Bottom line is that the only way to answer with the given details is:
It will work or it will only work with SD programming. The type of DVR wasn't given either SD or HD DVR. Depending on the cottages location the OP may not get his locals if the OP locals are on a spot beam as many/most are.
Next thing why not go to www.dbstalk.com or satelliteguys.us (no www.) they are US satellite sites. They cover Dishnetwork, and DirecTV.
