I have 2 connections, one DSL connection through ethernet and other EVO wireless through USB. I simply turn off one where running other. Do i need some program to do so or is it just not possible? oh and i am running Vista x64 ultimate with SP2.
    Thanks,

    ?

You mean 2 computers on same internet connection = yes

The other is by proxy server ... one system shares its connection with other systems .

You could simply Disable the network adapter of whichever you didnt want to use at that time. I'm not entirely sure how this would work with your IP settings and Browser config, but it should be ok.

Yes, it is possible. You are running two NICs, with separate IP addresses. This is no different to running an ethernet connection and wireless connection in the workplace. I do this all the time, and because we run separate VLANs for wireless versus wired, it is almost the same as having two networks.

The only real issue you have is that you don't have any control over which NIC is being used for any specific request. If you have auto-proxy being used for each connection then you might be OK, although initiating requests may be slow if the calls have to renegotiate the proxy when they change connection.

If each uses specific proxy settings then you will have issues as some calls will go to the wrong proxy and may fail.

FWIW, you cannot do any damage using this process, so you might as well try it and see what happens. If it works then you will probably see improvements in your throughput, although they won't be truely cumulative.

No i am not asking that, its easy and can be done easily. I said i want to run two different internet connections on single desktop PC simultaneously.

Thanks guns1inger for the information. I guess there should be some program or atleast there should be download managers which allow you to set which connections you want to use with them.
So i think it is possible, guess i need to do more research on it.
