  1. Is this new type of monitors the best solution so far?

Is it true that it doesnt reflect the light, and you can have a bright vivid image even under sunlight condition?

What else does it have to offer, and when is it going to be implemented on a more regular basis?

    I await your opinions.

AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) monitors sound very good, everything except the price. I suspect that some time in the future they will replace LCD monitors, but not for quite a while. They do have the capability of power savings over conventional Conventional LCD monitors that use a florescent back-light for lighting the screen. It does have a limited lifespan and is difficult to change if it burns out.

The OLED displays that are on the market at present are still fairly expensive and use a lot of power. The Sony 11" XEL-1 display is about $2500 at present, I believe. No idea of the pricing for AMOLED displays. The AMOLED should be quite a bit more power efficient than the existing OLED displays, but far more complex to build. You will most likely see them first in small mobile devices like cell phones or similar that have limited power available for display.
