Hi, forum newbie here. I've edited many movies over the years using Moviemaker and thought it was time to step up to something a little more advanced. I now have Vegas Studio 9, which I'm finding to be one of the more user unfriendly programs I've ever used. I've spent hours messing with it and am getting nowhere. Is there a decent tutorial on Vegas? I'm pretty visual so seeing it being used would be most useful, and I find the Sony help files to be not very good...but maybe it's just me. There are the different layers of the timeline, and when I add clips they sometimes go to the video layer, sometimes to the overlay layer, and other times only the audio is applied. Clips seem to be on top of one another, or one clip put before others, and then they get jumbled together...arrrrgh! Moviemaker is very basic and as a result, very simple to use but I want to get nicer titles and transitions etc, and give my movies a little more professional look. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

also at other video sharing sites
unfriendlyness can be mistaken for the program wanting to do everything for you
like anything worthwhile, it just takes time -
Thanks for the replies, I've made good progress now. Good forum!
