How can i view my PC on my TV?

So today i got a VGA to RCA cable to get my audio and video on my TV. So i plugged it in my computer and in my TV and went to the right TV mode where the cables were connected.

Here is how my cable looks like:

TV screen is blank. I spend hours on the settings of DISPLAY SETTINGS and NVIDIA settings and i have had no luck to get my desktop on my TV.

I have this NVIDIA Card: Nvidia GeForce4 440

In the display settings theres 2 screens, i click on the second but nothing happened. I tried everything, every setting there is, but still no luck.

Can someone tell me how this works?

    It doesn't.

VGA is RGB with HV sync, not analog component.

Does your TV have a VGA port?

If not, you can buy display card with an analog component output.

    Here you go:

    http://www.1topstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=1652

    It even says:

    Note:
    3RCA connectors: red, green, blue.
If your jacks are red, white, yellow.
please plug them as follows: red to red, green to white, blue to yello

    So i guess its right.

It's a scam return it. North American TV sets use YPbPr not RGB.

Tell us the model of your laptop and TV.

Does the laptop have s-video or composite out?

Does the TV have VGA, DVI-D or HDMI in?

    From your link, http://www.1topstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=1652 :
Work with laptops and desktops with VGA cards that has TV-Out function capability through the VGA connector
That cable is for specific graphics cards which output component video (or composite plus audio) on otherwise unused pins on the VGA connector. Very few cards ever did this. Your laptop does not do this.

To give you advice on what to use we need to know what outputs are available on your laptop and what inputs are available on your TV. If there are no corresponding outputs/inputs you will need a scan converter which can get very expensive (hundreds of dollars).
