DTS sound from DVD

Hi,
I have this music DVD and I want to do the following:
enlarge picture so picture fill the screen with no black margins ( I know how to do this)
but how to keep original DTS 5.1 sound?
I am using TMPGEnc 4.0Xpress as my program (4.6 version). I have decrypted dvd using dvd decryp and it has all 3 sounds. but when I load the dvd into TMPGENC it gives me 3 sound options (mpeg I audio layer II, Linear PCM and doly digital)

is linear PCM DTS 5.1?

No, linear PCM is not DTS.

DTS support in authoring tools is limited to higher end tools for the most part. DVD Lab Pro handles it, amongst others. Consumer tools tend not to because of licensing costs, and because DTS is not a common format for consumer cameras etc. AC3 is more than enough for the masses.

What you will have to do is demux the DTS audio out of the DVD and re-author to put it back in using a tool capable of authoring with DTS. GUIForDVDAuthor supports DTS, however I cannot tell if DVDAuthorGUI or DVD Styler will.

i did everything u said added all 3 audios to my video using dvd lab pro played on ps3 nothing only got 5.1 dolby not 5.1 dts. but when i put the dvd in ps3 it does play it.....

Well your whole project, from start to finish, could be quickly done with ConvertXtoDVD 3. The video resizing options (crop/pad) work well. It will also pass through DTS or allow you add a DTS audio stream to a project.

ok i will do that guns1inger however does it matter if i rename the final vob into mpeg they are exactly the same right? maybe thats what causing the issue, or ps3 itself because it seems to me that the computer does recognise 2 audio on the file.

A VOB is not an MPEG file, so you may not get what you want. I need to see the media info output to see if you actually do have two audio tracks. I am not yet convinced that you have authored it correctly.

Hi. I have a similar problem. I have an anime with DTS audio on an MKV file. I extracted the DTS audio and inserted it as the main audio on DVDLab Pro. It appears to encode it properly, but, when I play it, there is no audio. Actually, my player detects there is a DTS audio channel there, but there is no sound.
Ps.: I don't understand the info on the log, as I'm not a programmer or developer, I just know how to create DVDs in a very amateurish way. So bear with me but am I missing some DTS encoding plug-in or something? Because I have inserted DTS files on DVDLab Pro compilations before, and they worked fine.

It's been some time since i used TDA or the other Tmpgenc authoring software, but if memory serves me correctly, they do NOT support DTS audio.
