Hi,
Can somebody tell me some command line tools and their donwload location, which can be used for dvd authoring.
My requirements are
1. It should take avi files as input and create a VOB structure.
2. It should allow me to create various chapters and menu to navigate easily.
P.S. -- I tried using DVDAuthor but the problem is that it is not taking avi files as input, It requires .mpg files. So i have to convert them using ffmpeg which is an overhead.
So I m looking for something which can avoid these conversion.
Cheers,
Sumit

Well you must convert the avi to dvd mpeg2 format to be able to make a DVD-Video. So you must use a converter like ffmpeg.

The problem with ffmpeg is that it is too slow.
Can i make the conversion fast?
Currently for a 30 min / 220mb avi video, its taking 20 mins to convert it into .mpg format which is quite long.
Can i reduce this time somehow?
