I am trying to find a way to capture the videos from WWEclassics.com. All files have DRM and only seem to play in WMP. When I try and screen cap it slows the video down and choppy video happens.

  3. What software are you using to capture? What codec to capture?

You are probably dropping frames and whatever software you are using is probably too CPU intensive (especially if you are using some compression).

You should be able to get around this by using a faster PC setup , or less CPU intensive codec. If you use something like camtasia or camstudio + uncompressed or huffyuv (lossless compression) you should be ok even with older pc's.

Another method is to capture is use a dedicated WMV capture software like WMRecorder , then convert that wmv at a leisurely pace offline (The DRM usually doesn't expire for a week) , this way it's even less intensive, and you rule out bandwith being the culprit for frame drops.
