    Hi
Like I write in the Subject, is it any free or open source alternativ for Cineform Neo Scene to make it easy and nice to convert and import in a edit program for HDV??

  2. You should be able to edit HDV without a cineform intermediate on your PC if your specs listed are accurate

    What is your HDV editor?

It is possible to edit HDV in Vegas, Premire Pro, etc. but NeoScene speeds things up and is less lossy for filtering, effects and compositing.

Did find it, I was looking in wrong place (First I did download the source, not the install program, then I did not look in the container MOV, just MP4 and AVI)

I use Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, my friend are using the latest Premiere Pro.

It is free, and it is very good. Download the free Quicktime version for using in editors like Vegas or for outputting from the likes of After Effects.

They have fixed the link so the PC version now downloads a valid (non-corrupt) archive for the version 2 codecs, Find it here : http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=263545

This sounds interesting. I wonder if it'd let me edit avchd files in Premiere 6.5? Probably not, but I'm going to test this out when I get a chance.

    Hi again
I have not try so much yet about DNxHD.
I can see in the Vegas that it can save it as DNxHD but I have one question.

Is that any free easy program that can convert HDV/AVCHD file to DNxHD

Neo Scene have a basic program that convert file to Neo Scene format but I have not found yet any program that can convert to DNxHD

Anything that can save to quicktime's mov format. Quicktime Pro can do it, for example.
